St Mawes Affordable Regeneration Team

Securing the Future of St Mawes – the heart of our village needs you.
Our community is at a turning point.
Our project aims to build 15–17 homes primarily for local people, helping to sustain a thriving, year-round community. By supporting local housing, we can safeguard essential services like our school, post office, and village life for generations to come.
Rising house prices and a decline in full-time residents are putting the future of St Mawes at risk. The SMART Community-Led Housing Project is a positive, practical response—created by the community, for the community.

The SMART team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the public consultation meeting on Wednesday. It was great to see so many people in support of the village.
A special thanks to Jayne Kirkham MP; Julian German, our Ward Representative; Cornwall Council for so much of the funding to get this far; Kerry Crinks, the School Headteacher, and ASPIRE Academy Trust for being willing to release the land; Gerrans & St Mawes United Football Club for letting the School use their sports facilities instead for the long term; all our Parish Councillors and local supporters.
For more information, or if you missed the meeting. The presentation can be found here.
